DJ Loy is the second-generation owner of Loy Insurance Agency, leading with a proactive, education-first approach to risk management. Since joining the agency in 2015, DJ has expanded Loy Insurance’s services into commercial property, high-value personal lines, and habitational risks, with a focus on preventative strategies that reduce long-term costs—not just premiums.
With over 10 years of industry experience, DJ is passionate about simplifying complex coverage, building strategic carrier partnerships, and serving as a true advocate for his clients when it matters most. His favorite part of the business is earning referrals—because nothing speaks louder than a client trusting you enough to recommend you to someone they care about.
DJ is a former Division II collegiate football player, where he was a four-year starter at Hillsdale College. The discipline and work ethic developed through athletics continue to shape his approach to business—focusing on preparation, resilience, and execution.
DJ lives in Westerville, Ohio with his wife, Nicole, and their three children—Naomi, Conan, and Solomon. Outside of work, he enjoys weightlifting, road cycling, golfing, woodworking, and gardening. He’s also an accomplished musician who plays both violin and guitar—an outlet that reflects his hands-on, detail-oriented approach to just about everything he does. DJ is active in multiple professional and community associations across Columbus, building relationships and staying connected to the region’s business community.

As CEO of Loy Insurance Agency, Nicole Loy leads the agency’s operational strategy and ensures the day-to-day client experience reflects the high-touch, family-first service that has defined Loy Insurance for over 40 years.
Before joining the agency in 2020, Nicole worked in risk management at a credit union, where she gained firsthand experience in balancing client needs with regulatory and operational risks. She later managed a 400-unit residential community with Lifestyle Communities, further honing her skills in customer service, process optimization, and vendor coordination. Her transition into insurance brought a disciplined, client-focused mindset that has been pivotal in scaling Loy Insurance’s efficiency while maintaining its personalized approach.
At Loy Insurance, Nicole oversees agency operations, client onboarding, policy servicing, and internal systems to ensure every client receives timely, clear, and proactive communication—especially when navigating claims or policy changes.
Nicole is also an avid reader and collaborates with independent authors as a proofreader and ARC (Advance Reader Copy) reviewer, helping fine-tune manuscripts before publication. This attention to detail and collaborative mindset directly influence her approach to client communication and agency operations.
She lives in Westerville with her husband, DJ, and their three children—Naomi, Conan, and Solomon. In her free time, Nicole enjoys reading, reviewing books, and spending time with her family.
